Purpose:
Eco Village Mission Beach is in a tropical climate and air–conditioning and refrigerator equipment are run all–year round and therefore are the biggest energy users. Another significant energy users is the fluorescent lighting in guest rooms. Eco Village is seeking funding to replace current cooling, refrigerators and lighting equipment with more efficient systems that are inline with government recommendations with the goal to save energy and reduce emissions.
