Purpose:
The purpose of the Grant is to provide students with skills and connections to future Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways for employment opportunities into the Civil Construction industry on completion of their education in West and North-West Tasmania. The Grant will directly support industry needs and address the skills shortages for the current and future civil construction projects related to the renewable energy industry sector for wind, hydro, solar and hydrogen energy in North-West Tasmania. The Grant will provide a skill set of training in five (5) accredited units of competency to a maximum of ten (10) Year 10, 11 & 12 students from schools in the Circular Head, Tasmania region.
