Grant Activity:
eVidence synthesis to inform the optimAL UsE of Immunoglobulin (The VALUE-Ig Study)
Purpose:
Immunoglobulin (Ig) therapy can be effective at preventing infections or controlling immune system response. However, there is weak evidence to guide treatment decisions such as who should receive Ig and how long they should stay on Ig? This project will use health data on Australian Ig therapy patients to ensure Ig is used judiciously to avoid wasted valuable resources but always available to those patients for whom it provides a cost-effective benefit.
