Improving outcomes for children with high risk cancer
Purpose:
Although combination chemotherapy has significantly improved survival rates for children with cancer, the outlook remains dismal for patients with aggressive high-risk disease. We have strong preclinical and clinical data highlighting specific vulnerabilities in poor outcome cancers that can be targeted as effective treatments. Our overall goal is to develop these new therapeutic opportunities to improve patient outcomes and provide prevention strategies for specific child cancer subtypes.
