Purpose:
Reclaiming Narrative celebrates 20-years of performance work elevating the voices of people whose stories are under-represented. Incorporating a curated exhibition of historical images, memorabilia and a suite of films; the project shares historical works showing how Sydney community members with lived experience of homelessness, mental health issues or disability have reclaimed their own narratives through performance. The exhibition will be interpreted both physically and in a digital interactive format which can be viewed online or via VR; supporting a regional exhibition tour with workshops to engage local community members to create their own stories around the theme of reclaiming narrative.
