The purpose of this Grant is to deliver a nationally accredited, three (3) unit skills set to a maximum of ten (10) students, focussing on in demand skills for entry level VET pathways in the region, in Circular Head, North West region Tasmania.
The Grant will provide secondary students with skills and connections to future Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways providing employment opportunities on completion of their education in the North West region, Tasmania.
The Grant will directly support industry needs and address the skills shortages by providing students with a skill set of three (3) accredited units of competency. Participants who successfully attend and complete the
Short Course Series will receive Tasmanian Certificate of Education points, qualifications covering First Aid Essentials, White Card and Operate and Maintain Chainsaws, immersion and exposure in quality training in rapid growth areas with clearly VET pathways, and local connection to networks and employers in the field.
