Branxholm Sawmill (CMTP Pty Ltd) has traditionally produced low value green sawn timber products with a limited volume of manufactured items such as pallets and bins being produced as finished outputs. Of recent years the mill has taken significant steps and committed substantial investment to increase its value-adding to yield higher value from the timber resource and to grow the business value and its markets. This project will install a 3D log optimisation and scanning system and upgrade to set works on the primary breakdown machine to increase availability of value added timber. Additionally employment of local timber processing workers will occur due to increased log recovery driving productive timber volume throughout.
