Reducing preventable stillbirths in high-risk populations: a mixed-methods, multi-country approach
Purpose:
The death of an unborn baby is a tragedy that deeply affects families and wider society.There are 2.6 million deaths like this world-wide every year.In Australia twice as many deaths occur than other similar countries but we don’t know why.This research will investigate why the rate is higher in Australia, particularly in rural/remote areas.It will also look at a prevention strategy than can be used when women go for check-ups during pregnancy.
