Delivery of CQ Intermodal Terminal and Industrial Access Road

Purpose:

To provide a greenfield intermodal terminal with cost effective containerised freight handling for both inbound freight to the region and facilitate exports from the region rather than being transshipped elsewhere for containerisation. An Industrial Access Road which facilitates access to the Intermodal Terminal and other catalytic infrastructure under way in the locality will also be provided. The Industrial Access Road will be a CHRC asset on completion. The site has further infrastructure construction planned providing a modern bulk grain terminal, a rail siding, and a number of industrial blocks for development which will benefit from both the Industrial Road and the location of the road/rail Intermodal Terminal.
