Unravelling mechanisms of blood-brain barrier disruption for developing innovative therapeutics against brain diseases
Purpose:
Brain diseases, such as stroke and dementia, are major causes of disability and death worldwide. There are often no good treatments available. To create new and effective treatments, we need to understand what causes these diseases. This project aims to uncover the causes of different brain diseases and then use that knowledge to create treatments that are tailored to each patient's specific needs.
