Yuko Mohri participation in the 23rd Biennale of Sydney
For the 23rd Biennale of Sydney (2022), acclaimed Japanese artist Yuko Mohri will present a major new site-specific installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA). This will be the first time the artist has exhibited in Sydney. Through targeted marking, media and programs to support Yuko Mohri’s project, we will celebrate contemporary arts practice from Japan. New linkages between Australia and Japan will be developed and we will build closer cultural networks and partnerships through direct interaction between Yuko Mohri, her works and ideas and Australian audiences, as well as associated programming and events. The Biennale of Sydney is free, for all to enjoy and enables access for audiences to engaging programs and events which will grow and foster knowledge and appreciation of art and culture, and by extension, will increase cultural understanding between Australia and Japan. Anticipated 2022 Biennale audience is 530,000 in person and 3million online.
