Grant Activity:
Maximising quality of life in frontotemporal dementia
Purpose:
An early diagnosis is essential for the appropriate management of care of individuals with dementia. This is often missed in frontotemporal dementia, because of the variable symptoms and confusion with psychiatric disorders.
Over the next 5 years, the objectives of this research program are to improve diagnosis and understanding of disease progression in frontotemporal dementia, and develop relevant therapeutic interventions that will maximise the quality of life of patients and their families.
