Grant Activity:
Characterization of the Germline Regulatory Landscape
Purpose:
Human fertility requires the generation of gametes (oocytes and sperm) that combine to produce an embryo. The aim of this research program is to identify genes and proteins that control gamete production. The biochemical pathways under study could be targeted by drugs. Therefore, new knowledge generated in this project has the potential to identify processes and pathways that are directly relevant to reproduction-related disease, infertility and in vitro fertilization.
