Grant Activity:
Transcriptional control of germ cell development
Purpose:
Foetal germ cells (FGCs) are central to life. These cells are the embryonic precursors of oocytes and sperm. The major objective of the research is to elucidate new mechanisms that control germ cell development. The biochemical pathways under study are potentially druggable with small molecules. Therefore, this project has the potential to identify processes and pathways that are directly relevant to health, disease and infertility.
