The perineural niche to predict the development of bone metastases in prostate cancer
Purpose:
Predicting the development of bone metastases in prostate cancer is a clinical challenge. Nerves and neurotrophic factors are new activators of prostate cancer progression, and this project will test their clinical performance to identify patients at risk of developing bone metastases. This would maximise surveillance and treatment for men at risk.
