Functions of A-to-I editing and the editing enzyme, ADAR1, in health and disease
Purpose:
We are seeking to understand the different functions of a protein called ADAR1. ADAR1 is able to change the sequence of RNA. Changes in ADAR1 activity are associated with a range of human diseases but it is not clear which functions of ADAR1 are important in disease, and our studies will clarify this.
