Grant Activity:
Identifying new cellular targets to treat heart failure
Purpose:
Heart failure is a leading cause of death. Recent research has shown that the heart comprises a diverse network of cells. However, virtually nothing is known about how this network changes during the development of heart failure or how it can be targeted to prevent or treat heart failure. This research project addresses this knowledge gap, and may reveal how cell types and cell networks can be targeted to prevent or treat heart failure.
