Grant Activity:
Understanding haematopoiesis using novel single cell lineage tracing tools
Purpose:
How do we know what each individual stem cell makes inside the body? Short of directly observing them with a microscope, which is extremely challenging, it is almost impossible. We have a developed a brand-new technology where we create ‘barcodes’ inside stem cells, while in a live mouse, allowing us to track them, sort of like a FedEx package. In this way, we hope to understand what cells each stem cell makes.
