Novel Broad Spectrum Antifungals Active Against Drug Resistant Candida Auris
Purpose:
There is an alarming global increase in deadly fungal infections and many are resistant to all antifungal drugs, rendering them ineffective. An exciting new series of molecules have been designed and made that can target these problematic fungi. Through full exploration of how the molecules kill fungi and which parts are critical to this activity it becomes possible to optimise and develop them to maximise their use in combatting the global human health threat posed by fungal diseases.
