Grant Activity:
Exploiting Biased Agonists of Formyl Peptide Receptors as Pharmacotherapy for Pulmonary Hypertension: simultaneous targeting of vascular function and remodelling
Purpose:
Increased blood pressure within the vessel of the lung (pulmonary hypertension) is a serious, fatal disease that lacks an effective treatment. We have discovered an attractive approach to simultaneously improve blood supply to the lung, and to reduce the stiffness of the blood vessel. We anticipate that our research will ultimately facilitate the development of exciting new ways to treat this devastating disease.
