Grant Activity:
Comprehensive characterisation of the PFAS exposome
Purpose:
Consumer and industrial products contain several thousand per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that people may be exposed to. At present, only a small fraction of PFAS compounds are routinely tested for in blood serum. Characterisation of the many possible other PFAS that may be in our blood is necessary to understand any potential health effects. This project will use advanced analytical techniques to further our understanding of which PFAS compounds Australians are actually exposed to.
