Purpose:
The project will upgrade and resurface the airstrip at Langarra Airport on Howard Island. These improvements will ensure that the airstrip can handle wet season rains and remain safe and usable for all charter and service provider aircraft that commonly operate in the region. This airstrip will be an important link in the network of airstrips along this part of very remote coast and will thus improve safety for all air traffic.
