ALS Trials Australia (ALSTA) - to develop precision medicine
Purpose:
ALS is a neurodegenerative disorder where rapidly progressive motor weakness leads to death, usually within 3 years. This proposal unites the Australian ALS clinical community to present a coordinated multisite trial network - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Trials Australia (ALSTA). This proposal describes a clinical trial that may suggest a new therapy for ALS. Whole genome sequencing will be undertaken, to delineate subgroups to allow for targeted treatment approaches.
