SAGE Dem: A model of care to improve health of sexuality and/or gender diverse people living with dementia
Purpose:
Sexuality and/or gender diverse people living with dementia are underserved, leading to poor physical and mental health. Increasing cultural competency of health, aged and LGBTIQ+ sector workforces will improve this. Refining and extending our model of care for sexuality and/or gender diverse people living with dementia, this project co-designs a cultural competency framework, training and engagement toolkit and art exhibition to build knowledge, skills and awareness to improve health outcomes.
