Development of an enhanced model of aged care for the Rochester district
The project will support the development of a better model of aged care by completing a feasibility study to identify an appropriate delivery model for assisted living accommodation. The study will recommend the appropriate level of development and optimum operating model. This project will determine the demand for, and community and stakeholder interest in, an innovative aged and disability housing complex, located on land adjacent to Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS), which will enable people to live longer and independently within the community. Development of these units will provide an option not currently available in the Rochester district therefore will enhance the care models for both aged and disabled clients.
