Grant Activity:
In situ visualisation of cell fate
Purpose:
Maintaining millions of blood cells every day is crucial for health and development. When this process is compromised, we can develop a range of diseases including cancer and a compromised immune system. To understand how this complex system is regulated, we have developed technology to watch blood cell behaviour in living tissue. Using this approach, I aim to develop new ways of driving healthy blood cell production and eliminating cells that cause disease.
