Purpose:
MicroTaus innovative contactless micro fabrication technology enables low–cost, practical printing of microscopic features directly onto a variety of surfaces to produce useful properties. Our printed shark–skin micro structures have already demonstrated drag reduction that can reduce aircraft fuel consumption by 2% or greater potentially saving billions of dollars and hundreds of millions of tonnes of CO2 annually.
Entrepreneurs Programme commercialisation support will help MicroTau secure pilot customers in the aerospace market as well for other applications of the technology including printing self–cleaning, anti–bacterial and marine anti–fouling properties onto surfaces.
