Purpose:
Our Outdoors the science of healthy cities is an interactive family event focused on the role of shared outdoor spaces in health and wellbeing. Through a drop–in Experimentarium , guided nature walks, and a scientist s picnic, participants will learn about the role that shared outdoor spaces play in their own health and wellbeing, how science is tackling key issues affecting cities in the 21st century, including climate change, air quality and equitable access, how they can get involved to help scientists tackle these issues, and what actions they can take to enhance their own outdoor spaces. The event will take place in Fairfield, Western Sydney on Saturday 22nd August.
