Advancing preclinical development of novel GPCR-targeted therapeutics for heart failure
Purpose:
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (where compliance of heart muscle is decreased, making the heart stiffer) is now the most prevalent form of heart failure, particularly women. Traditional heart failure drugs are ineffective here - new innovations in drug discovery are required. We have identified a novel drug discovery approach to target heart failure with preserved ejection fraction that has the potential to effectively address this urgent, unmet clinical need in women and men.
