Grant Activity:
Identifying and governing Australia's supply chain risk: a Big Data approach
Purpose:
This project aims to investigate strategies for mitigating supply chain risk in the Australian economy, by using a data-driven methodology that combines firm and supply-chain level databases with international trade data. The project expects to generate an innovative method to identify risks, using Big Data analysis, as well as a comprehensive supply chain for Australia and the region. Expected outcomes of this project include a new policy strategy as well as a new empirical methodology that can be used by policymakers into the future. This should provide significant benefits to Australian policymakers by identifying relevant economic trade-offs in managing supply chain risk, ensuring that policy interventions are effectively targeted.
