Purpose:
All the involved groups in the Crystal Brook Community Recreation Centre are non–for–profit and volunteer organisations trying to provide opportunities for our local community. The Netball and Basketball Clubs both have a membership base of around 100 players each, plus families and supporters, and the Fitness Centre has currently 40 financial members plus numerous casual users. Most of our involved groups are not in a strong financial position and were struggling with making annual usage payments for their use of the Recreation Centre pre–COVID. Then COVID hit and many clubs did not have a season or hold a show and therefore had no income for the year and finances got tighter. If we can somehow reduce our running costs then all users of the Crystal Brook Community Recreation Centre will benefit in the future.
We have received a quote from O'Dea Solar and Electrical to install a Solar Solution. This project will be able to commence as soon as we receive confirmation of a successful application to the Powering Communities program.
