Grant Activity:
ALPK1 dysfunction: revealing a novel pathogenic pathway in retinal diseases
Purpose:
Genetic retinal diseases are caused by changes in many different genes and lack effective therapy. This proposal aims to characterise and modulate a newly identified disease pathway in the retina. This holds promise for development of novel approaches to preserve vision in genetic and other forms of blinding retinal degeneration.
