Purpose:
The equipment requested through this application (air conditioners) are specifically mentioned as an eligible item under 5.1.2 of the funding guidelines. Equipment will be installed by licensed tradespeople as specified under the guidelines. The air conditioners will be installed in the patrol room and multipurpose room. The patrol room is surrounded by windows, for surveillance purposes, and is therefore quite hot during summer. With outside temperatures reaching into the early thirties, the patrol room can exceed this due to the sun heating through the windows. Our multipurpose room is used for education, training and community use throughout winter however as temperatures drop, the room cannot be used as it is far too cold. Supporting our volunteers to assist in making their surrounds more comfortable during delivery of their services to the community, demonstrates we value them and respect the service they provide community.
These air conditioners are split systems and have been chosen due to their efficient use of energy. This project will demonstrate environmental leadership and provide significant financial savings and reduce our carbon footprint for many years to come, contributing to the long–term financial sustainability of our Club.
