Purpose:
Hedland Senior High School is sending 12 students to the FIRST Robotics Competition – South Pacific Regional in Sydney of 2019. The competition requires students to design, construct, program and drive a full–size 50kg robot, which they will use to compete in a 3 day tournament. The competition will take place at the Sydney Olympic Park with teams from several different countries working in alliances in a strategy–based game. Students build on all aspects of STEM and will also be exposed to high levels of STEM skills in Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering.
