Grant Activity:
Foundations of quantitative immunology
Purpose:
During an immune response white blood cells share signals to program the type of attack they will mount against an invader. This project aims to identify and recreate the processes of immune cell communication and control using experiment, computer simulation and mathematics. Successful computer-based models of immune processes will then be used to design new treatments for immune diseases and to directly measure the many different ways immune health can be affected in individual patients.
