Ferguson Australia market resilience with value–added seafood
Purpose:
This project will see our product range displayed at Foodservice Australia, Melbourne, 27–29 June 2021 and Fine Food Australia, Sydney, 6–9 September 2021 estimated to be seen by over 35,000 visitors. We intend to display our product range at each of these events allowing both existing and new customers to discover the variety of high value products now offered by Fergusons – not just live lobsters as we have been known for historically. The visibility of our product range will grow, giving us access to a greater range of markets, and the opportunity to develop relations with both retailers and consumers. Using this momentum, we will further develop into supplying directly to those in the food service industry, and working on establishing new export markets in the United Kingdom, USA; Asia, Russia; and the European Union, to improve the flexibility of Ferguson Australia.
We have identified an industry conference where we can meet with our peers within the seafood industry:
– World Fisheries Congress, Adelaide, 20–24 September 2021
This conference will provide information especially related to the underutilised fish species that we have identified as a key market opportunity. The conference will be attended by leading researchers and policymakers, allowing us to better understand future impacts on our business.
