Purpose:
This project involves engaging Sol Energy Pty Ltd to procure and undertake the installation of a lighting upgrade for the retrofit and/or replacement of existing lighting in our buildings in order to reduce the organisation's energy use and lower its energy bills. The proposed solution will retain all the existing suspended tube lighting and recessed pelmet lighting, with quality LED tubes retrofitted. Fluorescent lighting will be replaced with modern commercial quality LED panels, downlights and battens. Existing lighting bodies and fixed wiring will remain and only the active component replaced. The project allows for spacers for the LED panels to cater to the suspected imperial grid ceiling common with a building of this age, in order to prevent the lighting falling through and Residual Current Circuit Breakers where required.
