The Grant’s purpose is to lift and expand the Australia-India business relationship by supporting the Business Champions and revitalised CEO Forum to regularly meet, to identify opportunities and address challenges in the economic relationship, to engage directly with Australian and Indian senior officials and Ministers on priority issues, and to strengthen business literacy and commercial linkages between Australia and India. The Grant seeks to support the Australian Government’s priorities as outlined in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the India Economic Strategy to 2035 and the Update to the India Economic Strategy. The secretariat will work with India's counterpart secretariat, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and engage closely with DFAT and the Centre for Australia-India Relations.
