Purpose:
This proposal is to replace the existing aging fluorescent luminaires with new LED luminaires. This will increase the illumination level within the shed (greater safety) and reduce energy running costs. Fluorescent luminaires are not recommended where rotating machinery is used. The stroboscopic effect can make the the rotating parts appear stationary. LED Luminaires do not have this effect. The existing luminaires will be replaced by a licensed electrician and complying with Australian Standard AS 3000. The use of a portable scaffold will be utilised to undertake the luminaire replacement.
