Oral Health Infrastructure Project
Purpose:
The Oral Health Infrastructure Project aims to strengthen the remote community of Katherine by establishing a fit-for-purpose dental and oral health facility at Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service s Main Clinic. The facility will provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents of the Katherine, NT region with accessible and culturally competent dental and oral health services. The Project will enhance community facilities while creating local jobs during the infrastructure extension phase and once health service delivery commences. Economic activity in Katherine will be boosted by meeting the increasing demand for oral health services while assisting people to live healthier lives that include participation in the workforce.
