Fluent Mobility for the Blind Individual Using Multimodal Auditory Sensory Augmentation
Purpose:
Fluency in blind users' mobility arises from access to an appropriate flow of sensory information, subtle control over the sensory information flow, and natural interaction. Any unimodal sensory augmentation system will fail to provide sufficient fluency, therefore we propose a multimodal sensory augmentation system using smart glasses and gesture control to improve fluency in mobility and orientation for blind individuals.
