Russell Hotel energy efficiency upgrade
Purpose:
The project has three key activities:
1. To replace the existing old ceilings fans throughout the Russell Hotel with new, electronically commutated energy efficient ceiling fans.
2. To replace the existing non–LED lighting throughout the hotel with more energy efficient LED lighting.
3. Install motion sensors in common areas.
The outcome and benefits of the above activities will be:
(a) use of more energy efficient electrical appliances, thereby reducing electricity consumption.
(b) the new replacement ceiling fans will also provide a more pleasurable guest experience by generating less noise.
(c) the new LED lighting will also have a longer lifespan than existing lighting, thereby reducing waste over the long term.
