Purpose:
Local organisations will engage the community in the intersecting sciences of human and forest health; offering hands-on workshops, short talks from scientists and experts, walking tours and an optional picnic in a central Sunshine Coast bush setting.
The community (ages 6+) will be invited to participate in practical activities to improve physical and mental wellbeing and the health of forests. While active in nature and achieving the benefits of relaxation, joy and awe, participants will learn about the health and ecological sciences behind the activities from local researchers, citizen scientists and health practitioners. They will deepen their fascination, increase their understanding and value of science and our world.
