Purpose:
The Business and Innovation Hub at Doncaster Gardens Primary School will provide students with a flexible space in which they can develop solutions to real world problems by applying their classroom knowledge in Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics in practical ways. The Business and Innovation Hub will include a Maker Space equipped with tools and equipment to combine traditional making skills such as Wood Tech, with modern technology including 3D printing and electronics. The Hub will also contain a fully functioning kitchen including espresso machine so students can serve the local community with food and drinks. This student–led cafe will give students business skills and raise money for worthy causes.
