ReconNECKt: A randomised placebo-controlled trial to test the safety, clinical and cost effectiveness of a new treatment for chronic neck pain.
Purpose:
Chronic neck pain is a common problem that comes at great personal, economic and social cost. It has been recognised as a high priority problem by consumers, industry and government. Our project is a randomised clinical trial to test the safety and effects on pain, function and quality of life, and cost-effectiveness of a new treatment for chronic neck pain that is based on modern neuroscience. We will compare our treatment to a carefully designed placebo treatment.
