Purpose:
The project will enable Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) to launch a new generation of rotors specifically designed to improve overall life and performance of brake disc rotors by substantially improving cooling performance and outgassing.
Feasibility studies have shown the proposed unique diamond pillar design will improve performance. Real time modelling and testing will be undertaken with expert input from a number of specialised automotive facilities. DBA has confirmed strong demand for the product, which will enhance the market offering, servicing the need for high performance applications in high–end vehicles and SUV (sports utility vehicle) applications.
