Early Career Fellowships
Grant Activity:
Novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of food allergy and the development of tolerance.
Purpose:
Australia has the highest prevalence of food allergy internationally which has placed a huge demand on the Australian healthcare system. There is an urgent need for fast and safe ways to diagnose food allergy. My postdoctoral program will identify routine and novel test thresholds that are diagnostic of food allergy without the need for dangerous food challenges. In addition, I will develop a tool that allows clinicians to predict which children are most likely to outgrow their food allergy.
