Grant Activity:
Spatial analysis to investigate cancer evolution as a complex ecosystem of interacting tumour populations
Purpose:
Cancer is a disease where cells grow rapidly, creating tumours. However, all tumour cells are not the same. There can be multiple cell types within a single tumour. These are likely interacting, helping each other grow. We aim to understand which tumour cells are cooperating with each other in prostate cancer that has spread using computational methods. With this, we hope to develop a new type of treatment that works by disrupting how tumour cells talk with each other and thus kill tumours.
