Grant Program:
Research Fellowship
Grant Activity:
Improving translational understanding of the most abundant therapeutic target class
Purpose:
Many drugs act on a family of proteins in our body called G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). However, despite some notable successes, most of the attempts to make drugs that act on GPCRs have failed. Focusing on neuropsychiatric and metabolic disease, through establishment of world leading capability and a multi-disciplinary team of expert collaborators, my research will ask, what are the molecular features that make effective drugs that act on GPCRs?
