Create an engaging design installation responding to the theme of...
Flynn Talbot, a leading Australian lighting designer, will create an engaging design installation in response to LDB theme of 'Emotional States' to be the official Australian pavilion at the London Design Biennale 2018. Talbot will explore the emotion "Love" inspired by Australia’s recent legalisation of same-sex marriage. 40 countries and territories from 5 continents, will participate in this year’s LDB. Talbot’s pavilion will be a free-standing, circular fibre optic screen that visitors can pass through and stand next to one another to be immersed in a shared experience of coloured light. Inspired by the new definition of what love means for Australia. The display of Flynn's work at LDB will promote Australian expertise in lighting design and expand audiences given the significant numbers that pass through LDB.
